A tablet a day is most commonly prescribed.Femme 40mg Tablet 10 ‘S is safe to be prescribed to adults and children above the age of one year.The doctor may prescribe Femme 40mg Tablet 10 ‘S twice a day in certain conditions and cases.Femme 40mg Tablet 10 ‘S is to be ingested at the same time each day,an alarm can be set as a helpful reminder for the patient to not miss a single dose.

Femme 40mg Tablet 10 ‘S belongs to a group of drugs known as Histamine Receptor Antagonists.They work by blocking the Histamine receptors present on the cell membranes of the stomach and intestinal cells,thereby preventing excessive production of acid in the body.The acid produced helps aid in the digestion of the food ingested,but in excess can lead to harmful effects on the human body.

How To Use Femme 40mg Tablet 10 ‘S

Femme 40mg Tablet 10 ‘S is available in tablet form and is advisable to ingest Femme 40mg Tablet 10 ‘S 20-25 minutes before dinner or any meal with plenty of water to help ease the passage of the tablet through the throat.It is safe to ingest up to 2 tablets a day.Femme 40mg Tablet 10 ‘S may take upto two weeks to show changes thus,it’s advised to not stop treatment until advised by a doctor.

Dosage

Adult Dosage

A tablet,a day is prescribed to be taken daily either 20-25 minutes before ingesting a meal or right before going to sleep at night.Dosage may vary depending upon the patient’s illness.

Child Dosage 

Femme 40mg Tablet 10 ‘S is safe to be prescribed to children aged 1 year and older.The dosage,for young patients is dependent upon their weight and illness being treated.If a patient is unable to swallow a capsule,then an alternate method of ingesting the drug is explained by the doctor.

Elderly Dosage

The dosage for patients aged 65 years and older is mostly the same as the adult dosage with some alterations for patients with underlying medical conditions especially renal (kidney) and hepatic (liver) diseases.

Pregnancy Use And Lactation

Femme 40mg Tablet 10 ‘S has shown no significant evidence of causing harm to an unborn child but it is imperative that a doctor be consulted before ingesting Femme 40mg Tablet 10 ‘S if you are planning on starting a family or are pregnant.Femme 40mg Tablet 10 ‘S passes through breast milk to the baby but there is no evidence showing any effects of the drug on the baby.

Contraindications

• Moderate to severe liver impairment
